AASC Annual Meeting 2018
(download agenda here updated 12 June)
We are now at capacity and registration is closed.
Here are some important details to help you with your planning. This year, our meeting runs from 20 to 22 June (Wednesday morning to midday Friday). Our venue will be The Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
We have two special events planned for Tuesday, 19 June, and hope you can join us for them.
First, the Northeast Regional Climate Center will conduct a full-day ACIS Workshop. The morning session will cover ACIS 101. It will provide a look at the ACIS database and an introduction to ACIS Web Services, which is the open API used to access station data, station metadata, and the gridded datasets that make up the ACIS database. The afternoon session will cover advanced topics of ACIS Web Services, such as access to hourly data and climate model projection data sets (such as LOCA). It will also offer an opportunity for you to consult or work with experienced ACIS programmers on projects of your own. Be sure to select ACIS Workshop when you register for the AASC Meeting if you wish to attend.
The second event on Tuesday, is our AASC Icebreaker, which takes place that evening in the Lied Lodge Library Lounge. Stop by to pick up your registration materials and stay to have a snack and a drink as you network or catch up with friends.
On Wednesday evening, you will have the opportunity to show off your bowling skills or take part in another fun activity (TBA) as part of an AASC group. On Thursday evening, we will have our Annual Banquet. Other meeting details, including our agenda, will be posted here as they become available
You can register for the AASC annual meeting on our Registration Page. You may make payment by bank card or check. Please select the ACIS Workshop option if you wish to attend. You can also pay your 2018 AASC annual dues if you haven't already.
The Lied Lodge is fully booked at this time. If you still require lodging, contact the Executive Director for options.
