SCEP Funding Opportunities for Contracts through April 30, 2013

The American Association of State Climatologists (AASC) is pleased to announce contract funding opportunities through the State Climatologist Exchange Program. These opportunities reflect the AASC's ongoing partnership with the National Climatic Data Center. Additional information about these opportunities, including application guidelines, are available by following the link below.

As extreme events associated with our climate have resulted in significant impacts over many regions of the United States, this is an opportunity for state climate offices to fund studies relating to impacts, vulnerabilities, and adaptation. Further, since these events often extend across state boundaries, contracts that involve collaborative efforts among state offices are strongly encouraged. Regional climate services directors (RCSDs) and regional climate centers (RCCs) can also be valuable resources in such efforts.

The AASC will also continue to fund contract work through state climate offices for monthly climate impact reports coordinated through RCCs. Funding for travel and other service oriented collaborations with RCSDs and RCCs is also available.

Please contact any member of the AASC executive committee if you have questions.
